Eye serums are gel-like essences used to firm the skin around the eyes, relieve eye fatigue, and reduce dark circles. Because they lack emulsifiers and thickeners, their texture is lighter, but their moisturizing effect is reduced. They are usually used in conjunction with an eye cream.
Eye serum molecules are smaller than eye cream molecules. Therefore, the order of application is serum first, then cream. Cleanse your face and eye area with a facial cleanser, then use toner to moisturize. Take a small amount of eye serum with your fingers. Rub the serum together until well combined, then press it onto the skin around the eyes, starting from the outer corner, moving down the lower eyelid, to the inner corner, up the upper eyelid, and back to the outer corner. Massage in circular motions five to six times to help absorption. After the serum is absorbed, apply your eye cream.
