Facial oils are typically used after cleansing and toner, and before lotion or cream. If using a face mask, apply it afterward. Most facial oils recommend 4-6 drops per application. This amount is calculated based on the volume of oil in the standard application amount of sunscreen (2mg/cm²) (approximately 0.2-0.3mL, corresponding to 4-6 drops). Using too much may dissolve and remove lipids from the stratum corneum, damaging the skin barrier.
Warm an appropriate amount of facial oil in your palms and apply it to your face and neck from the bottom up and from the inside out. You can use the following techniques to promote absorption: massage in a spiral motion from the forehead to the temples with your fingertips; gently press around the eyes with your fingertips; massage the cheeks in a spiral motion from the bottom up with your four fingertips; massage the chin from the bottom up with your four fingertips. Massage gently.
The massage techniques should be gentle. You can mix 2-3 drops of facial oil with your lotion, cream, or foundation to enhance hydration or improve makeup finish. It can also be used before applying a face mask to promote absorption of the mask's nutrients.
Facial oil can be used for targeted care of the eye and lip areas. Facial oil is suitable for all skin types, especially dry skin. Oily skin can be treated by adding a few drops of facial oil to their cream or serum before application to avoid discomfort. Sensitive skin with an abnormal skin barrier should use with caution; it is recommended to first use skincare products containing a scientifically formulated blend of ceramides, cholesterol, and fatty acids to improve the skin barrier before using this product.
